Telescopics - an easy way?
I'm trying the find an easy route to fitting rear telescopics to Joe mog. I have a kit that fits with a replacement bottom plate (that the u-bolts fit through). Am I right in thinking that if I jack the car up the axle casing will rest on the spring when the u-bolts are undone and therefore there is no need to undo the leafsprings at all?
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

Sounds like that makes perfect sense to me.
Might be worth marking with chalk where the axle sits on the springs so if it does move you can get it back on straight again.
Just out of interest, where do the tops of your kit struts fit to?
I've heard of kits that fit between one of the the armstrong bolt mounts and the U clamp but never seen one working.
