The Morris Major was a larger car than the Minor, built for (in?) Australia.
Anyone with Skilleter's "Holy Grail of Minors" sic! will be able to tell us a little more about it, because I seem to recall there was quite a section in there about the Morris Major.
B-series engine, I think...

Major
Yes, the Major was built in Australia at Victoria Park,Sydney.
The Elite version had a 'B' series 1622cc engine and cost
A£940. I am afraid we cannot help you with its worth as
it is an unknown car over here. You need an Aussie expert,
there must be an Aussie web site surely??

The comment about 'rego' proves that Carmen & her Major are indeed in Australia. However, what's half a world away these days?

The above site quotes a maximum value of $AUD 2500 - presumably for a perfect vehicle. Or, if you have $11 to spare try :

I wonder an example of the Morris Major exists outside Australia?
