There is a full list in the technocal tips section of this site http://www.mmoc.org.uk/technicaltips/colourcodes.htm

any decent paint factor should be able to mix you up some based on the BMC code.

Good choice on keeping to an original colour, they suit the car much better than more "modern" colours.

Those more knowledgable (or with more moggie books ;) ) than I will be able to tell you which colours are correct for the year. Any would look good though. I saw a Limeflower traveller at a rally this weekend- its a great colour!

thanks for that, i would appreciate knowing what the colours look like also.
i'm particulaly interested in something like a mid/dark blue or maybe a nice purple not sure yet.
i have a 1970 convertible which is white at present but i want a cream hood (if anyones got one let me know) to go with it so hopefully it will look nice.
i'm keeping an original 1098 engine tec but the only thing non standard will be the front seats but i'll keep the originals.
thanks for that steve

Sounds like Trafalgar blue! Not sure if there is a purple in the Moggie range of colours. You could order some touch up paints (£3 for touch up pot) and see which colour you like. http://shop.morrisminorspares.co.uk/ind ... 1daf82a0aa or Bull Motif etcImage

Thats a good colour too!

Steve, i have an idea to help you choose the colour. We are in the middle of the rally season. Join your local branch and go to the rallies, meet with Moggie owners and see which colours you like on the cars!
