Hi to you all!
I'm an enthusiast from Portugal and this is my first participation on the forum as well as my first Minor. I own a 1966 MGB roadster so I'm (or at least should...) more or less aware of what involves classic car ownership.
My Minor is a 1954 4-door split screen, badly rotten I'm afraid (hence my participation on the 'Bodywork' forum)! Does anyone have any sugestions regarding where to find a new grille?
Here a photo of it as it was found...
I'll be around...
Pedro

Thanks for your welcome Chris!
Yes, it's the "cheesegrator grill"! The car was registered in February 10 1954. Its chassis' number (I still call the car "it" and not "she" as I've seen in the forum. Do not have yet enough emotional attachement!) is FAA-31-234-248 so it was in fact a black, 4 door, LHD, export car. It should have a 803 cc engine (APHM-62273) but I suspect that someone swaped it for a 948 cc during the car's life. The engine block seams to be painted gold so it could be one of those "goldseal" exchange units. I still have to investigate this further.
Sorry about the picture (or the absence of it...). I have to find out a place to post it before it can be displayed (or so I understood from the FAQ section...)!
