flashing high beam
when wanting to flash your high beam at someone, in daylight when lights arent in use, can i leave the foot dipswitch ON ,so all u do to flash is flick the light switch, will this do any harm?

Steve, I don't press the foot switch. Just turn the lights on and off again. Even in daylight it's enough for the other driver to see that your lamps have just been on and it's a 'flash' for them.
If you REALLY want to, then you could rig up a hidden push switch & relay that flashes the main beam, but I don't think it's really needed.

I've not really missed flashing my lights - people look at your face in the moggy so you can wave them to go!
The other side, of course, is flashing your lights at those people who HAVE to get in front of your old car, but I reckon I could do with learning not to get annoyed at them instead!
If I left my footswitch on high beam, I'd NEVER remember when I put the lights on!
