1. Anyone could pl tell what were the schemes for a black 1000 convertible? what interior and carpet colours , what hood colour?

2. What was there in the middle of the series II boot badge? was it some kind of green reflector?

It was a red 'domed' reflector. Originals of these are quite hard to find in good condition :(

The hood would have been beige, the trim and carpets maroon.

To find a good reflector is either a case of putting something in the 'Wanted' section, or simply visiting a few auto jumbles.

Good luck.

This is what they SHOULD look like:

http://potteries.mmoc.org.uk/RallyPics/ ... 004_99.JPG

This was a 'new-old-stock' item that a member of this messageboard managed to luckily find. They are difficult to find and the reproduction ones are poor. The lettering is unclear, the edges are less defined and the reflectors are flat and not domed (wrong profile).

Yes me too, I am always looking for them, in fact I think I bought the one that the new one replaced.

Ah right! :D I have a few myself (with ok reflectors) but they are pitted. I could transfer the reflectors over (which I probably will end up doing) but I'm not happy with the quality of the surrounds on the 'new' repro items. :( Maybe I'll try to get the old ones restored & rechromed with the rest of DUD's brightwork when the time comes.

I actually saw another NOS one a few months after I got mine - but that went for more than 3 times what I paid.

Well if it disappears during the Potteries Rally I'll know who to blame
