That is why the Series MM has such a large radiator.
Simple but effective.

The first thing everyone says when you open the bonnet on a sidevalve (after "where's the engine!!" of course ) is "Gee, what a big radiator" .
The actual radiator core is the same as the 1000. It's just the top tank that is double the size. I guess this is for extra coolant capacity.

Thermo syphon might work well in the UK, but on a hot day & pushing the car a bit, they soon get very hot out here .

On a big trip, I remove the fan off the generator & fit twin thermo fans in front of the radiator.
It's amazing how much extra power you get by just removing the fan from the generator .

ahh, sounds like they are not used to seeing a REAL engine then.

I've got some spare "side" elbows that have the boss cast into them (and even one with a brass hose stub threaded into it). Any help?
I still need a new seal for my existing MM waterpump.
If you try Jabsco and Mocal in Google then you might find some cheap electric pumps. Minin-7 racers use them, too.
I have an account/discount with Think Automotive if anyone wants to save a few pennies.

I found E P Services in Wolverhampton for MM waterpump rebuilds. Lifetime warranty as they use a modern seal design. 24 hour turnround on rebuilds too so it was back 3 days later
