All the old cars I have worked on illustrate one point, anywhere which is
soaked with oil does not rust, i.e. the chassis will be perfect where oil has
been thrown out of the pinion seal on the diff unit etc. I have complete faith in Waxoyl doing the same job providing that it is properly applied and topped
up once a year in the exposed areas.
