today was the first time i went to try and start my traveler and i found a rather important part missing. (the fuel pump!!!!!) well that put my plans of trying to start my moggy after 8 uears out of the window. i just wondered how easy are they to get hold off and any idea of a price. cheers.

Plenty on ebay from £5 upwards. Or ask here in the 'wanted' section - may not have much luck because most of us carry a spare! If your block has a cover on the side (in front of the exhaust manifold) then you can fit a mechanical pump - these are plentiful on ebay - and more reliable too. Mini had them for 20 years or more - until they went over to fuel injection.
Meantime - you can still start it - just fill the carb manually.
