Front Wings.

Post by wanderinstar »

Can anyone tell me what is involved when fitting series 2 front wings to a 1098. Hopefully its just a case of altering sidelight hole to accept 1098 sielight/indicator. Are the wheelarches the same shape?

Yes, the wheel arches are the same shape on the front wings for all the Minor models and years.

If the Series II front wings are decent then I'd personally look towards swapping them with someone for late wings as the original SII wings are getting harder to find in decent condition now.

Then you won't have to mess about with the holes and neither will the SII owner! :D

Yes good idea Cam.

Has anyone got an good offside front wing for a 1098 they want to swop for a good S11 same wing. I live in Colne Lancs, wings are a bit bulky to post.

I don't - but out of interest, do the 1098 wings have to be originals?

Yes I should think so as I think the SII will be original
