Just taken minor68 out for a spin since storage due to wife having our first child (nice to escape). All well apart from a small leak from the heater valve . can it be repaired or shall i just bite the bullet and buy a new one. guess a nappy wont help.
Thanks for any help
Where on the heater valve - and what sort of valve? Hose to valve or at the base? Both are fixable (on the screw on/off valves at any rate - I've no experience of the remote operated ones), BTW.

If it is the brass manual turn wheel type then,if it is leaking from the spindle
nut it is usually possible to just tighten the nut because there is a seal beneath it.
Sorry should of stated type its the later type, looks like the seal in side where the rod goes in. Not from the join at cylinder head where leak comes from when under pressure.
Get a new valve quick. On the later type, once the seal starts to weap around the rod then it's liable gush before too long. Readily available from most traders, but relatively expensive (£18 - £20). Cheaper than a boiled engine.
