Yeah, both beautiful, I think the original just has the edge. BUT on the other hand some cars need kustomising. 49 - 50 Mercury, ugly as hell when standard but make some of the most beautiful kustoms.

I chopped a moggy a few years back, it was easy enough. I did have the help of an experienced moggy roof chopper Richie King to help me. After it was done I didn't like it, looked nice but felt cramped and claustrophobic. The hardest part was fitting the roof lining. http://i61.photobucket.com/album...

Sorry i haven't been about for a while, as the weathers turned nice I've been outside doing my vehicles. The first step of the modification is to take off the rear plate then start cutting! Cut to the red line in the below picture. approx 10mm inside the ridge where the plate sits. http://i61.photob...

As long as the white light is 'diffused', it's perfectly legal. To achieve this use some light diffuser from a striplight cover (the ones you find covering fluorescent strips in buildings), although some people have used tracing paper(!) with success. They've been using diffused backlit rear number...

Ok, what I'll do then is draw some diagrams to go with the text.
I make illuminated signs for a living and a number plate is just a little sign!

Pops out of second gear!

Help!
Bought a cheap minor the other day, didn't test drive it cos it had no brakes. Now got the brakes done but the gearbox is very sloppy and it always pops out of second.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Does any one know where my candy apple minor is?

I sold my minor a couple of years ago and its the only car I've ever regretted selling.
Sold it to a guy in stafford, but lost touch with him. He's name (coincidentally) was Mitch.
Has anyone seen it about?

Internally Illuminated number plates

Hi When i first joined this site I showed a picture of an internally illuminated number plate i made last year. Someone asked me how to do it but i never got round to replying. If you (who ever it was!) still want to know, then let me know and i'll put the details on. This was it http://i61.photobuc...

My inspiration!

This is the car that many years ago I fell in love with. It was built by a local man (from southend) called Richie King who also built the Purple people eater Minor pick up and many other kustoms before turning his attentions to VW's and becoming a big name in that scene over the years. I saw it whe...

Thanks, the van was a 3.9 litre rover V8. went well but not practical as a daily and I always use them daily. I like the look of both of yours. Especially the traveller. I plan to get another one soon but a bit skint at the moment.

Thanks for the welcome. I will try and find some more pics in the next couple of days. The traveller was lowered 2 splines at the front and blocks at the back but brought down even more by the use of 13" wheels. The wheels are chrome deep dish smoothies which are very rare in 4 stud form and ar...

Hello!

Hi, i've just signed up to this forum. Looking to see if you've got a specific introductions page but i couldn't see one so thought i'd say hello here. My names Mitch from Essex. I've owned 12 minors over the last few years and I've played about with all of them. Here's a couple http://i61.photobuck...
