Stuck piston rings

Hiya, the piston rings on piston no4 of the 1300 are stuck. I've just taken it out and put it in a bath of parafin to soak. They seem really stuck what's the best way to loosen them?

Yes they're fantastic, it's run by two brothers one of which is a mechanical engineer. Living in rural Wales we need alot of agricultural machinery taken care of they basically specialise in taking care of. Not really an engineering company, they just do loads of fab work.

Hiya, I sent the carb off for a rebuild in the end. The gaskets arrived today, so we shall see. If this dosn't work I'll just take it as an omen to put the 1300 in.

I'll change it again. I checked the HT leads when t...

Poor idle...again

In the past weeks my idle has become very bad again, the symptoms are it idles very poorly sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders, then 4 and then 3 again. This is accompanied by mayo building up in the rocker cover and when pulling up to a junction and dipping the clutch abruptly it will cut out. ...
