Green wire to B, Green/stripe wire to L and light green wire to P

I don't understand it either unless there was some shortcircuit inside the relay that connected the live input to the P output. Think I'll take it apart and have a gander

Thanks bmcecosse - it was the flasher unit. Not keen on giving my money to hellfrauds - my local one doesn't stock the right part anyway.

Odd problem just happened today on my 1963 traveller - indicators worked fine on the way to work then suddenly coming home refused to flash - the odd thing is the green light on the indicator stalk was on all the time even in the centre "off" position - ended up taking the bulb out it was ...

All sorted - new float and needle did the trick

Also a symptom of a failing ignition coil I seem to remember

Thanks - sounds like the float needle is likeliest culprit - already have an in-line fuel fuilter fitted. Have ordered new float/needle from Bull Motiff. Will feedback when arrived and fitted.
