You certainly don't hang around ;-}

Doing a good job, just wish I had the time and space to be able to crack on with my three moggs. I've got to get a move on as I'm going on the MOT next year!!

Keep up the hard work (and the nice photos!)

I've seen the trav trailer at I think the sandringham rally... Looked nice, do it didn't arf flex about going across the bumpy field. Don't forget that we can tow upto about 600kgs behind a minor, and all that wood must make a big dent in that....... Have a go, have some fun, but make sure its brace...

having just looked on the MMC brums website I can see that they are only 24 quid, so I might buy a new one, but as I'm putting it on a 1000 and modifying it slighty, I'll wait until I've got the old one finished and working until I spend the money!

Thanks

I'm wondering what to do with it, It looks fairly manky as it is, so do I just rub down the worst of it, fill the holes with filler, and then paint it with silver paint?

Sounds like it's not going to be affordable otherwise!

I have a series II winged boot reflector that is showing quite a lot of pitting etc, how can I repair it, and how much is rechroming?

Thanks

National Again....

My copy of minor matters dropped through the door yesterday, and as i was flicking through it thoughts turned to the national, and i was expecting to see a write up from the committee about events, but alas either i have missed it or it is not there. Why have we still had no feedback about the natio...

Hopefully I'll be able to get started on my 67 4dr soon. Not hugely impressive modding wise, 1275 engine (either ital or maestro (if I can get the crank/flywheel sorted)) 5 speed serria box, and dolly back axle. Got ital discs upfront anyway. Got a set of 15" maestro allys, but if I can get the...

I have a very nice kit of parts to make a wooden dashboard.... A wooden glovebox door, wooden bits that fit round the speedo, and a open wooden thingy that goes around the drivers side glovebox... Not fitted them to a car (or van) yet, as I'm not sure that I like them. The drivers side one is cracke...

I have a switch on the fuel pump on my saloon, which I regulaurly forget, until the car starts to stall, and on the van I have the battery that won't start the engine with the starter, I have to use the handle. I don't think many thieves would know that you can still start a minor with a (seamingly)...

As I said earlier, why not just cut one and have it so that you can move it in and out so that the <effect> of having a narrower minor can be seen?

Andrew, Not wishing to be rude, but the flat four that was be fitted into the mossy fitted because the engine bay was designed for that engine, which was NOT the Jowett lump. Now I very much doubt that any of the proper flat fours exist now, but why would you want to go down that route anyway? If yo...

Thinking about mechanics for it, if you got hold of SII with an 803 in it to cut in half, you should be able to use an A30/35 rear axle. The engine will still fit quite happily although I think you will have to alter the top of the chassis legs/firewall supports to get the gear-box in, as chopping 4...

The door mod will be a bit of a pain, the lower hinge might need to be cut in half and welded to the door, as you will remove half of it's mounting when you remove the bulge. If only you were closer to me, I'm quite handy with a mig (at times ;-) ) and I do love the challenge of a little fun project...

I've often thought of an electric minor, but my method would be this: One small diesel engine running at low revs turning an alternator. This charges a small capacity battery but also the drive motor. The battery is included to provide extra 'umph' that is required to start the car. Advantage: Using...

Wow at last! Been looking for a pair of these. Now if I put a pair of cnk1 (175/14s) on a pair of 4.5 j is should be just about ok (i think) the speed rating of 99mph will be fine for the van! I run 165's on the 4.5j at the minute so the next size up should be fine.

Brill!

Thanks

Hi Sue,

Where in Norfolk are you? I'm in West Norfolk (near Downham Market), and if you want advice or someone to check it out I'm happy to help. I've had minors all my driving days (ok the last 10 years) so know what to look out for. (you could pop round on the way back from Peterborough!)

Well I've just won a set of maestro alloys with tyres off ebay, so it looks like I'll not be getting the hubs converted now ;-) Still got to take the shafts out of the axle, but that shouldn't be too bad. Does anyone know what the thread is on a dolly stud? (I've got no wheel nuts, and I'll need to ...
