I had to go and look at the photo :o the edge of the inner wing is cracked (horizontal section) where the suspension upright has hit it, the crack is about 10mm long in a "V" shape and will be welded together before I do any other rectification work. The longer line above this is the edge ...

And yes - a 1275 will run on a standard exhaust - but it will be horribly choked at anything other than light throttle. I think some suppliers sell a larger bore exhaust to match the larger bore exhaust manifold. Much as I thought :-? well the 1275 is a future addition, I just couldnt resist it at ...

What diameter exhaust should I be looking at for a Marina 1300 engine? will a standard 1098 exhaust do or will it choke the 1275 engine?

They appear on Ebay every once in a blue moon, the last one I saw there I think is quite well known as "the snail". I dont think it sold because of the price and I found this... http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/classic-car-page.php/carno/21930 almost £7000 for a morris minor even if it ...

Thingy's new clothes

Thingy is progressing (slowly but surely) so I have to think about paint. She will need a complete paint job :-? possibly home spray... she will be a modified minor :o so I'm not worried about exact shades, just a reasonable finish. In our health and safety conscious world what is easiest / best pai...

Sill - something that belongs on a house under a window where it can be ignored but all too frequently attaches itself to our cars just below the doors and dissolves leaving a light brown dust where steel should be :o

Ebay can be a gold mine but you do need to know what your looking at, try to find a member who is close to where you live (dont worry most of us love loooking at other minors) and can look at the car before you buy, many ebay cars need some work but if the price is right it may be worth it

I personaly like street sleepers. When I was your age I had a mini clubman estate with a 1275 engine which wasnt a problem because it looked like a standard set up. The wolf wheels may give you away but I think you may need the extra rubber on the road with your set up... make it fast but make it sa...
