Re: Heated front Screen - Wiring Calculations

According to my measurements and calculations, my screen will draw about 4.2A. I am going to design the circuit around a 10A rated adjustable timer relay I have found for £32. https://www.altecautomotive.co.uk/timer-relay-fully-adjustable-12-volt--------braltt40205-1-09brbr-1614-p.asp My next questi...

Re: Are my mirrors 'Non-standard'

Hi Stephen Thank you so much. That is exactly the info I needed. I'll send my WING mirrors back and order the correct DOOR ones. One further question - With the single bolt 'Lucas' type - What does it bolt to? Do I need to drill the cover plate, and then bend it to get it back on the door. The plate...

Sorry for the slow reply.

I bought these 'Arms' from ESM . . .

All of the cars I saw at the club meet, that had door mirrors, had a similar style.

Re: Heated front Screen - Wiring Calculations

Great - Thank you If you can run it through a 15A switch, then my calculations are probably OK then. The car is my wife's daily driver and (No disrespect to her) she won't remember to turn it off! I am going to wire it in through a 10A timed relay and adjust the on time so that it stays on for as li...

Are my mirrors 'Non-standard'

The mirrors on my Travelar are awful. The ball joints are loose and won't hold position. I have managed to tighten up the lower ball joints, but can't get access to the ones behind the mirror glass because they don't come apart. At an MMOC Club meet last week, I discussed it with some other members ...

Heated front Screen - Wiring Calculations

There is a lot of chat on here about Heated Front Screens - Have people fitted them themselves, or use a professional service? I have purchased a screen from ESM and have been working on the relay circuit and cabling. I measured the resistance of the screen element, and it came out at 4.1 Ohms, whic...
