Another simple check would be the rotor arm. Some new ones (often black but not always) are riveted and the ‘spark’ leaks to earth via the rivet. Simple check to swap the arm.

No my motivation is comfort and short legs! I sit close but reclined usually and the Morris seats are either too far away for the legs or too close for the arms!

Yes I’ve been careful to use only the original mounting points and my seats will tilt as the originals did. How well they tilt is yet to be seen. But I never carry more than one passenger so it’s sort of irrelevant in my case anyway.

Have to say when I tried this today on the rear it was a right bu99er, easier to get the spring on after than get the shoes and springs over the hub!

Never enjoy fitting brake shoes, I’m always perplexed by the conundrum; springs on first and try to fit them over the hub, or get them roughly in place and stretch the springs on last !

potentially solved. assistant pumping the pedal with results as follows;- all clamped - hard pedal minimal travel drivers front released - good pedal longer travel rear released - good pedal minimal travel (rears still seized remember) passenger front released - pedal to floor doesn't lock brake. so...

No sign of leaks anywhere.

However small update. Clamped all 3 flexis and I’m back with a good pedal so I’m assuming for now the MC is OK?

thanks for the reply - that was my thought but then why can I successfully bleed all three other other corners without a trace of air?

all stared by investigating a poor handbrake. cables fully wound up but levers on rear cylinder still free. Opened up rear drums to find all well but very little dust - drums came off easily, no movement on either rear cylinder, either both rear cylinders are seized or there's a brake fluid blockage...

Soaked regularly throughout the day with light machine oil. Has made some improvement but I wouldn’t say it’s perfect. I’ll see how it pans out.

About 3ml of oil so far and no noticeable change. I’ll keep going for the day and see what happens.
