Front brakes - corroded nuts

Some advice please. Working my way around the brakes. Front o/s cylinders are corroded / leaking. Intended to replace them BUT the nuts holding the cylinders in place through the back plate are so corroded that rather than turning they are rounding off. Also the flexible break pipe to the cylinders ...

Re: Headliner bows

Les ( Decca I am not trying to hijack your thread) thanks for the photo...a good starter. Can you give me any idea of the dimensions of the rod, what it is made of...some form of pressed metal presumably and how the sprung(?) wire loops are attached to the end of the rod. These loops are presumably ...

Re: Headliner bows

Decca. I will have a similar problem when I get around to trying to sort out the headlining for my 1967 four door. It might be a bit more complicated because my car has a BMC metal sunroof fitted that I will need to try to fit the headliner around. I will watch this thread with interest. If you get ...

Was about to refit the hub with new bearing and oil seals but am having trouble getting the old seal out from the hub. Is there a knack to this...

Re: blocked engine drain tap

Thanks I will give it a go then. I suppose that the easiest way to isolate the radiator and heater would be to simply disconnect / block off the hoses. No effect on the water pump or thermostat?

Re: blocked engine drain tap

Would the above citric acid tip be a way of giving the engine block a good clean out while it is in situ in the car or would it have a detrimental effect on the radiator and hoses. Presumably giving the system a flush in the conventional way does not remove the accumulations of rust.

Restoration . Order of work
