Removing the rear hub oil seal
Working on the rear o/s wheel. II have got the half shaft off and the hub. Have taken the opportunity to change the shoes...oil had leaked onto the old one. Was about to refit the hub with new bearing and oil seals but am having trouble getting the old seal out from the hub. Is there a knack to this. I don’t want to damage the inner surface of the hub. Any advice on how to do this would be appreciated.

Re: Removing the rear hub oil seal
The seal is a steel rubber cased item and is tight in the hub anyway.
You just need to hit the seal harder (try and pick up on the metal core of the seal) but carefully so as not to damage the hub inner face onto which the seal fits.
