The cat uses our traveller to shelter under, she's quite possessive of the cars! The bantams are less bothered.

Escort axle with Minor PCD?

Hi, Just trying to get everything worked out for the next project. We're going to need an Escort rear axle for both the strength and so we can fit a 3.54 diff however I'd prefer to keep the minor wheels for the over all look of the project. Has anyone any experiences with having the escort half shaf...

Re: 1970 Trav "IGOR" (modified) PIC HEAVY! fuel lines in!

In spite of it being Lynda's idea she suddenly went cold turkey and decided that she'd miss the Merc too much  On the other hand we're no where near needing the engine and it opens out our choices, can go 1.5TD with the escort axle and 3.54 diff or 1.7TD with the capri axle and 3.09 diff. So s...

Re: 1970 Trav "IGOR" (modified) PIC HEAVY! fuel lines in!

All looking good, did you have any luck with the exhausts? I just read through from the start, when you think of how decrepit Igor was when you started it's an impressive amount of work! We had a bit of luck when one of our neighbours who runs a small scrap metal business knocked on the door to ask ...

Re: SYT 692 F

Hi Simon,

We are members of the register :) I was hoping for a better contact name in the Met as I've had no luck with the one I was given :)

Re: 1971 Met Panda "Rosie"

Progress is good, although today was spent sorting out the alternator on the Merc and rebuilding Betsy's fuel pump. Currently counting down the minutes on an ebay bid to get a cheap diesel engine for the traveller so Rosie may stay as she is for a day or two so I can see how well it will fit a moggi...

Re: 1971 Met Panda "Rosie"

Flat camera batteries, will get pics soon. You've worried me now because Lynda didn't want to bother with pics from the baby scan this time!
Does mean that we have to have finished by early feb now!

Re: 1971 Met Panda "Rosie"

Actually spent a lot of the last two days organising it so that doors and wings can just go straight onto the big shelving :) Oh and plumbing in the air compressor properly :)

Re: 1971 Met Panda "Rosie"

The garage didn't have power after all, the new one will do though with it's own RCD and good lighting! Rosie has been mostly sitting there while Lynda makes me decorate! I think it will be next years national as the target now!

Re: In service and now!

That's the one! We picked him up last week and will get started as soon as we finish the Met Panda saloon (sadly not going to make it for this years national due to garage replacement timing). I hear Ian was doing a touch up on the paint work of your one to make sure you win this year

Re: 1971 Met Panda "Rosie"

Yes, thanks, that and the new axle! The wheel was completely wonky by the time we got Rosie to Lincoln. Just need to sort the brakes out now and then sell it as we really don't have the room!
