Also everything is new. Engine, radiator, carburettor, distributor, (not gearbox) All done about 2,000 miles. Its just this clutch vibration problem. If you had so many new parts recently you probably had a new clutch fitted too? Many members have reported problems with recent replacement clutches....

Sounds normal to me. The engine will reduce in revs when the clutch pedal is depressed. You've pretty well answered your own question. Both jobs are easy, and taking our both gloveboxes and speedo will ensure that you get the best possible access. Before you start, disconnect the battery - there are some uncovered switch terminals that don't react well to contact with earthed spanners...

Does any one know, where you can get to the 2 top bolts that hold the heater in?
Do you have to take the gloveboxes out, or can you move the speedo clock out to get to them.
I see the back 2 bolts on the heater.

does anyone know if theyre should be a spacer between the top of the engine head and under the heater valve (which is the cable operated type, not the the round tap wheel type)?
Or should the heater valve bolt straight onto the head with just a gasket underneath?
