1.3 Marina engine

I suppose at my age I should know better, but I am in the process of fitting the 1300 marina engine into my 1968 2 door saloon called "Fay". I have got all the bits and pieces (I hope) the lump is in but their is a, I think, an oil catch can or breather on the front of the engine which look...

RE: Interior question

Hi Bomber, I could be wrong but I think the piece you are describing is part of the headlining, if you still aren't sure give ESM a ring at Stonegate in East Sussex I always go to them for help and advice when I need a part and have found them to be really patient and they do their best to sort out ...

Right grovelling over, has anyone changed the indicator stalk on the column for a more modern type that would incorporate the dipswitch as well, if so could you tell me which car it was from and how easy a f...

Hi Pete, the answer you got from cam was exactly what I told you I had done with my metro seats and the sliders work perfectly well and with them pulled forward and the back tipped as well there is almost the same amount of space to get in the back as with the old tilt seats regards Barry

RE: More Metro Seats

the m10 thread should be fine but just for extra strength could you not also use the mounting holes from the old seats and bolt through the new plate into that ? Also in the event of an accident on the old seats the seat belt would stop the seat tipping ( providing they are fitted of course)

Metro seats

Has anyone out there fitted Metro seats into a Minor saloon ? If so, can you please give me an idea of a subframe, a drawing of some sort would be excellent as I am of a limited technical mind, any help would be very much appreciated, thanks, Barry.

Standard minor rear axle with the 4.22 diff should be able to take the standard Marina engine. If you tune the 1275 then you need to think about changing the rear axle (Marina axle or Ford axle are common and any axle of roughly the correct width is possible with a bit of work) thanks very much for...

The Metro engine is not a practical consideration. However all is not lost. Take the engine and box and sell it on ebay where there is a good demand for this unit. With the money raised you may well get a 1300 Marina, Midget or Ital engine and enough spare to convert it to fit a Minor. thanks for t...

Can anyone please give me an idea of what engine/gearbox/back axle to use to give my morris more power. It would need to be a simple conversion if possible and any items about brake upgrades would be appreciated, out of interest I have been offered a 1300 metro turbo engine and box for free (nice pr...
