Re: First Minor. Daily drive - winter advice request
Hey Oli
I love hearing about people driving these cars daily...
Please keep us in the loop as time permits...
Congrats on doing this...where I live in the states...it would never work...folks would run me over in a New York minute...

Your inheritance looks pretty decent from here...take your time...I rebuilt the bottom end of my old heap....nothing more than lots of wood blocks and jack stands...spent a whole winter on my back welding with my trusty ole MIG welder... https://i.postimg.cc/X734VqsK/20211213-183531.jpg I used a lot...

Re: The smell
I have only owned one Morris and it had in its previous life (before me) the seats and the door cards were swapped out so it didn't have any vintage smell to it...I have owned several older VW's Beetles and they always had that distinct vintage VW smell...I love that smell too... https://i.postimg.c...

Re: Poor EV reliability
My father told me years ago....the best sort of electric car should be a diesel / electric hybrid... The older I get the more I understand his thinking...electric is not free either and taking on a 65,000 debt to save on gas is just backwards thinking at this point in time... I would have loved to h...

Hi Phil When I get the wheels mounted up on the car...everything appears to be rolling along ok...I have not driven it and that will be the true test for sure... I will try and touch base with the former...I could sworn he told me he drove the car with no problems with those wheels on it... hmm... m...

what is up with these wheels??
Hi Morris Minor folks... The former owner of my old heap sold me this car with 4 aluminum wheels on it...the car was cheap enough I didn't question them at all... He told me he drove with these wheels on the car and used it as daily driver...back in I think he said 2010 or so... https://i.postimg.cc...
