Mr Grumpy's done a switch and bracket for the Moggy, I used a micro switch from Maplin and made a bracket to bolt on top of the gearbox underneath the rubber gaitor. Been working for 6 months with no problems. If you want I can do a photo to show how it all fits.

This seal that needs removing from the master cylinder, could someone please tell me exactly which one it is as I've got the workshop diagram in front of me and I'd love to join the knowledgable throng who posses this mechanical jem of information. Cheers m'dears.

Every motorcycle I've had had a kill switch. After changing the oil I used to turn the engine over with the kill switch off and watch the return feed to the oil tank. Once you see a continuous flow of clean oil you were ok to fire it up.

A streak or a scratch ?

At what position should the back door handle on a Traveller be when locked? I've got mine at 3-o-clock closed and push down to 6-o-clock to open, or is it just personal preference.

I've just renewed my Traveller timber and before I put the back door seals on I could close the left door first and the right door would close after. Obviously when you glue the seals on you make the "hole" smaller, I had to pull/stretch the seals to make them thick enough for the doors to...

I keep meanig to try the Ronseal stuff that goes on as a paste, and which you can remove in big chunks afterwards - I'll keep you posted! What's the point of having an oil pressure guage for example?

We add loads of dials and gauges because we can.

I replaced my timber this year, got mine from Woodies. No problems fitting it - he supplies all the nuts, bolts, screws and nails. Not cheap though - also buy an extra tin of Dum Dum you get through loads of that!

I've recently replaced both my '62 Traveller wings with pattern wings and they have the overlap ridge it's the first thing you notice! The fit isn't to good either, next time I'll go for genuine stuff.

The hip is too far gone to skim and they said if they replace my knee I will only wear it out ! The best advice the surgeon could give me was "take painkillers loose some wieght and use a walking stick". I think it's time to find another consultant !

Yep I'm a member.I'm still restoring the traveller but as I've retired early with osteo arthritis and because I'm "too young" (45) they won't replace my hip.The restoration is going steady but oh so slowly.
