Nah..........staying positive! Done a bit of research on google and it appears its mainly because of standardisation. Don't intend adding a radio , so shouldn't be problem.

Are their ANY positives (sic) to be gained by sticking with positive earth though, apart from originality of course?

A 50/50 mix of petrol and diesel dibbled on works for me. Followed by a blast with the pressure washer.(Helps find any thin bodywork also!)

Lots of electrical bits missing off my moggy rebuild, including leads, battery etc but luckily regulator is still there.

Just to go off topic slightly, does anyone know the advantages of a positive earth system apart from originality and being able to wire it up as it was previously?

Bought a moggie with distributor in situ but no distributor cap or leads. I notice there are distributor caps that have the leads coming out the sides on some models. Does it matter which I use?
Its a 948cc engine.

Any help appreciated.

Couldn't work out the sill stucture from the pile of rust on mine. Found a really handy cross section on DSN that may be useful to others.
