Well my traveller still has its rotten wood on so I was able to position it correctly. I with the use of new inter grips I recently bought, I was able to pull the said edges together and weld, it's not the way I wanted it to go :x

Beginning of the projects so see how it goes.

i use gasless as well, (only because i go for the cheap stuff), had the same problems today, and your welds look all too familiar. when practicing my welding works a treat on 2 mm. however get to the car and it burns through the thinner (previously rusty) metal so had to build it back up. bloody pai...

ive got it in now with alteration, just the angle of the edge with the thread for the spare wheel clamp just did not match the angle of the rear floor angled edge. very annoying though be looking for hadrian panels from now on.

Traveller bootwell floor repair

Is it just me, or does the Sri Lankan repair panel for the bootwell floor extension of the traveller not fit?

safer than axle stands?

Hello,
Is there anything safer than using axle stands to work on the bodywork underneath? I'm worries they could wobble then give way with me under it...
