It's in Northern Italy, near the Passo della Presolana, between Lake Garda and Milan.
It's quite a nice area, with mountains, lakes, winding roads... everything you want.

Saved by the MMOC forum - twice in one day!

I use my Morris as my winter daily driver (don't worry, I care for it, no british winter here), so it's been in the storage garage since the first spring days in March and I've been around with the TR. This morning I said to myself that I should start checking the Morris to do the little jobs like c...

Re: 1098 Engine modifications

Hi, do both valves of the 12G940 head have to be sunk for a 1098 engine? How much? 1 mm?

Thanks, Thomas
P.S. John, I don't want to hijack your thread, I just thought my questions fit to your topic. Please let me know if I should open a new thread of my own! :)

I'm following this closely as I have got myself a 12g940 head as well, so I can turn my Morris into a fire-breathing monster!

Re: 1098 Engine modifications

The theory behind double springs is to stop valve bounce at high revs, pressure isn't an issue. Yes, but the reason to NOT use double springs? Written in UPPER CASE.. As the cam shaft and the whole rocker system has to overcome the pressure or force of the double springs on the valves I thought tha...

bmcecosse wrote:You need 1275 rockers on that head and definitely NO double springs !!
No double springs because of the higher pressure on the whole system?

Re: Question for clutch replacement

Thanks everybody for your positive support! I feel much better now about my clutch replacement..... As I've already had my my fair share of lying on cold floor (or cold gravel in my case - see picture), I've asked a friend if I can use his car lift, so this should be quite comfortable. Another...

Re: Question for clutch replacement

If you are worrying about draining the radiator - are you comfortable with tackling on the clutch ??? I'm not worried about draining the radiator, only VERY lazy  I've followed workshop manuals in the past, only to realize afterwards that certain steps are completely unnecessary - and as I ha...

Question for clutch replacement

Hello,
I have my first job on my "new" Morris ahead of me and have taken a look at the workshop manual. :D

It says that during the removal of the gearbox I have to drain the radiator... :o

Could somebody please explain to me why I have to drain the radiator?

Thanks, Tom

Moggie @ 7400 feet

I've finally found a Traveller for me and took it back home last weekend. :D
It did really well, the 800 miles were no problem, not even the passes in Switzerland! :D[frame]Image[/frame]

Re: Morris Minor Workshop recommended as dealer?

Hi Anne, thanks for your answer, I thought that the title is clear, but only noticed now that I made a spelling mistake, sorry.
I thought that the Morris Minor Workshop is one of the biggest dealers. :o

Morris Minor Workshop recommended as dealer?

Hi everybody,
can the Morris Minor Workshop in East Sussex be recommended as a dealer for cars?
Personal experiences?

(Comments as PM are of course welcome!)

Thanks,
