Hi Louise I had the same problem on my Traveller(incidentley the same colour as yours, is it Maroon B?) I just changed the regulator, not an expensive item as the original one was 40+years old and the adjustment process is a bit tricky £19 +vat and postage for a new item and job done.

Thanks guys temp sender in position now under thermostat housing got it in with a bit of jiggling, now it would seem that the gauge Is not compatable with the sender? the gauge is a Smiths from a mini so I thought there would be no problems not so.

Hi Declan Yes I see the position now I have had that plug out where can I get the adaptor from? as the supplier that I have been using doesn't seem to supply the adaptor just the sender, the gauge that I have is a Smiths electrical type with backlight, thanks for the info. Regards David

Thanks Bob For the info it would seem that I have muddied the waters slightly, the side lights and rear lights work as they should and the head lights work as they should so we can discount those as they are working correctly and as you say the (new wire) that I have run from front to back to power ...

No the only way I can get the indicators to operate is the way it was wired when I purchased the car ie; the light green connection is as it should be but the dark green and the green/brown are reversed? I have tried wiring it up as per diagram

Hi Gbond I am beginning to think that the problem may be as you say I shall have another go tomorrow, but the stalk appears to be wired up right but I did make a repair to the wire for the repeat lamp, thanks for the input I shall let you know if I get a result.

I have a 71 traveller and the repeater on the indicator stalk stays on in the cancelled position still flashing? any ideas I have fitted a new flasher unit and played about with the wires in different positions on the unit but it would seem that the unit is wired up right, any offers.

I will try to find out the thread for you - but this is a MOST unusual fault......how did this happen??? There is no such thing as an 'A/F' thread......... I think the thread is 5/8" - but I will try to check that on a Mini forum. I know on high power engines the bolt (starter dog on a Minor) ...

Can anyone help me, as a new member as of today. I bought a 71 morris traveller an the crankshaft pully bolt was stripped I bought a new one but am having trouble determaning the type of thread is it A/F or UNF? as I will have to tap out the end of the crankshaft. Regards davidmtr71
