Re: SOUTH AFRICA: 'Maude' my Morris Minor's Restoration

Hi :) Thanks for the comment :) I must admit we are spoilt for space. Its like a warehouse workshop. I have noticed how many people are restoring in their garages etc, but they seem to be getting the job done anyway! The way I see it, we're all young enough to be on the young owners register, it's j...

Re: Venetian Blinds for rear window

Hi 'Fingolfin' That's no good if it didn't stay up... The ones for sale in the states look very sturdy and clip under the window rubber so I don't think will fall down to easliy. I'm still smitten with the look, might just order them! My Mog came with one of these. They didn't stay up very well, and...

Hi Louise :) I must say my 'East London' is a lot warmer! Will definitely upload photos of her interior when done, shouldn't be long now! Welcome to the messageboard Simone, from one East Londoner to another (bit colder here though!) Looking forward to seeing some photos of the interior when it is f...

Venetian Blinds for rear window

Hi all :) I am really keen on putting in some old school venetian blinds into my 1960 4 door's rear window. I have trawled the web and found a place in Oz that makes them. Anyone know of any other place or have ideas? I found a pic (not my car) on the net and just love the look! My rear window is bi...

Hi 'Stag'

Carpet on the dining room table? The floral thing? haha, that's just a table projector for underneath the tablecloth :)
Anyway, thanks for the comment! Really enjoying being apart of this site :)

Cheers!

Re: SOUTH AFRICA: 'Maude' my Morris Minor's Restoration

Hi Alex & Anne :) Thnaks for the comment. I like the idea of knowing that every nut and bolt is 100%, I guess I could have just fixed the issues on the surface, but knowing its a complete refurb thrills me no end :) I would never sell her.... I don't think i would get my money back! Has cost a s...

Re: SOUTH AFRICA: 'Maude' my Morris Minor's Restoration

Hi Alexander, Thanks for the comment :) I must admit I am a bit tired of paying, I'd like to start driving her now, but I know it is well worth the wait. Will be sure to take loads of pics at the national rally and upload them! I was in Port Elizabeth a month or so ago for a Classic Car show and the...

SOUTH AFRICA: 'Maude' my Morris Minor's Restoration

Hello from a sunny South Africa! My name is Simone and I am 27 years old. I have been a fan of the Morris Minor for as long as I can remember. I begged my parents to buy me a Morris as my first car, but got a beetle instead. Needless to say, I always said I would own a 'Morrie' one day. Last year, w...
