Heater Questions?

Ive Got a Internal Heater with a Swivel knob on it, I was Wondering 1; At what point do people normally Change their Heater from Hot to cold or don't you?

Also when i turn it all the way on, there is like a seperate notch at the end of the turn. What does this do?

I have seen 5 YES! 5 Morris 1000's! Normally West bay is a haven for the motorcyclists and the odd classic car enthusiast. But never have i seen so many in the local area.
