Re: Winscreen Wiper initiallaly splutters
Thanks for your assistance. It is a DR3A motor. I've cleaned out and regreased the the crank and wheel area and that has resolved the spluttering and all appears good there now :D The wipers won't move, so as you said, it is probably more grease issues elsewhere. I'm off to refer to the manual to se...

Winscreen Wiper initiallaly splutters
When the windscreen wiper motor starts it initially splutters, moving about 5degs and stopping a few times, before it kicks into its normal action, this is with the wiper linkage disconnected from the motor. If the linkage is connected then it splutters once it twice and then stops (the blades don't...

It's against Ebay rules to sell a V5 without a car; I don't know the legal situation.

Cylinders & shoes replaced (by garage for MOT), I'm reluctant to touch brakes but Am after a way to identify the cause of the issue.

Brake Servo Sticking
After driving for a while my brakes start intermittently sticking (when the brake stick on the peddle is up and has no movement when first pressed). The cylinders were replaced recently so my guess is that it is to do with the servo. Is there any way of quickly disabling the servo (to identify if it...

Just selling the Registration Document without the Vehicle beaks the e-bay rules so it should be removed (I've also reported on this ground).

error uploading sig image
When I try and add a signature photo I get the error messages below :-(. When I first attempted to upload the photo I selected the original large size version rather that the compacted web version (this might have caused the issue) Rob. ../mbimages/sig_10471.jpg Warning: Cannot modify header informa...

Re: Speedo Cable Keeps Falling Out
Thanks for the reply, the inner looks fine so going for a new cable sounds the quickest solution.

Speedo Cable Keeps Falling Out
Every so often (and becoming more regular) the inner speedo cable keeps coming out of the main unit (the outer cable is still tight). Does the inner cable come in different lengths (if not does anyone know the correct length) or have any ideas why this would happen?
Thanks
Rob
Thanks

Engine Numbers
The engine number on my 58 Traveller is 9M-U-H 2230nn; what does the U & H stand for are is there any way of identifying the age of the engine from the number? Also the registration document shows an engine number of 6597xy which is very similar to the VIN number of FLA1/6397xy. Is this likely t...

Re: Speedo & Switch
Thanks for the info :) Checking the chassis Number looks like it should be a SN4407/00 1504 which doesn't have an indicator light. Engine is 948 (assume diff is 4.55 but not sure how to check) The switch is on a stork with an amber light near to the steering column (which illuminates constantly). I'...

Speedo & Switch
Hi, Please could you help me with a few questions regarding my 58 traveller. 1) Is the speed is correct for a 58 Traveller? The Indicator light doesn't feel correct (especially since I've only trafficators fitted) the numbers on it are SN4401/15 1500. 2) The speedo is 20mph out (i.e the needle doesn...
