I have a 1961 convertible that still retains its flashing side lights and brake lights. The large relay unit (DB10) is present but it also uses a non standard heavy duty flasher unit of a type that seems to be no longer available. When I swap this for a standard unit it lasts for about 30 minutes before burning out!
Does anyone have the correct specification for the flasher unit for this year? I am suspecting that the large relay has been 'rebuilt', but it would be good to have the correct flasher unit for when I overhaul the electrics.
Correct Flasher Unit?

You have the correct relay (db10) the flasher unit is just a small round canister with the earth/securing bolt on the bottom & 3 pin connectors ontop. They are part number SWT106 £5.30 from charles wares if thats any help. I suspect there is a wiring problem, relay problem! Mine is a 62 which im converting back to the original look, whilst keeping the indiactor circuit seperate. (sidelights in headlamps & round ambers for the back)
