Leaking front damper
I know this subject has been covered a number of times but one of my front dampers has just started to leak - car last used a week ago and no leakage as I always check under bonnet after a run. However one is now leaking and I am wondering if this heat has caused some expansion and led to a possibly weak seal giving up? I will renew the unit but would have thought the leak should have appeared sooner? Car lives outside in direct sunlight for most of the day.

An old damper can fail at any time. Nothing lasts forever. Renew it and keep a periodic eye on the others, especially if they are all of the same age.

Re: Leaking front damper
If you have to replace one front damper you should really replace both to keep the damping balanced.
