For some reason my traveller has a different lock/key for the rear door. Rather than replace all the locks I would rather replace that one to match the rest (front doors plus ignition).
Does anyone has a rear door barrel that fits key 'FS951' that they'd like to sell or know where I can get one please (major suppliers don't seem to let you select the key number and a Google search has been fruitless )
I've also had a suggestion from elsewhere to try taking it apart and rearranging the tumblers to suit the key.
Yes you can try that. I haven't tried this with a Traveller rear door lock barrel but I have with an ignition switch barrel and a saloon boot lock. When you remove the barrel from the lock you need to have the key in the lock. beware! When you remove the key, the guards and the tiny springs can fall out and if you are not prepared for this you will lose them.
To take the barrel out of an ignition switch is easy but it is not so easy to remove the barrel from either a saloon boot lock or a Traveller rear door lock. The boot lock and Traveller rear door lock are similar in that they both have a dome shaped piece of metal that must be removed by filing down the metal shaft where it has been spread to hold the dome in place. When reassembling you will need to find an alternative means of holding the dome in place. A simple way is to file a slot for a C-clip.

There is a trader that is always at Beaulieu that will make up any key for you. You need to measure the barrel length and give the key number. I have never used them, but retained the details
