Series MM rear wings

Post by Cam »

Does anyone know if there is any difference between the series MM rear wings ('52) and the later Minor 1000 ones (apart from maybe the lamp mountings)?

The Minor 1000 rear wings are flared out further and look very different. I think I've read that the newer wings will fit on earlier cars if originality isn't important.

The Lowlights and early highlight MMs had a much higher cut for the wheel arch in the rear 'wings' (as you guys call them). The later 1000 and 1098s had more panel area and shapes over the tyre better. Note photos of them and you will see they are quite different. (Ray Newalls Original Morris Minor is a good one for that)
