For those looking to keep an original look on older cars, Dunlop crossply tyres are no longer available. The choice seems to be between Waymaster and Excelsior brands. At the National Rally last weekend I took some photos of the two options as well as an original Dunlop tyre on a car in the museum. They may be useful when deciding what to go for.
Before it kicks off, I know crossplys are not to everyone's liking and if using your Minor regularly or at motorway speeds, radials are the sensible option. I have crossplys on my 1952 MM which does barely a few hundred miles a year, mainly to local shows etc, but radials on my 1960 car with a 1300 engine.
