How to remove dynamo front bearing

I am detailing my engine and ancillaries. I have taken my dynamo apart and front bearing needs replacing. However I can’t get front plate (which holds the bearing) off the shaft.

Have tried a sharp blow to the shaft but am worried that I will damage the end plate with too much force.

Any thoughts on how to do this?

It's a while since I overhauled a dynamo, inluding front bearing and rear bush replacement.
I'm sure there is a rivetted (3 x rivets) on plate to remove to access the bearing? But, I think the armature shaft does knock out of the bearing inner first?
Don't assume this is correct, but after checking my "bag" of dynamo sundries, there's a bearing (new) of the type I probably used - SKF 6202-Z/C3.

Many thanks, have now sorted it.

Used a 3 legged puller, penetrating fluid (50/50 acetone and transmission fluid, heat gun, and a few sharp taps and off it came.

Bearing is held in housing with a spring clip.

New bearing on order, hope it goes back together a little easier

That mix of acetone and ATF certainly does make excellent penetrating fluid.
Having a retaining clip has to be a much better way and maintenance friendly method of retaining the bearing than a rivetted cover!
