Morris Minor Owners Club Technical Manual Second Edition

Post by morris63 »

I joined the club over 30 years ago when I owned a 1963 Traveler. There was no internet then and I brought through the club a “Morris Minor Owners Club Technical Manual Second Edition”. It is dated 1998. I still have this and it is full of useful information. Is this still available in any form? Maybe updated. I also remember getting a CD with similar things on.

I understand that the Derby Office can still supply the CD, not sure about a paper copy. I don't think that it has been updated, but then the cars are still the same, so the book is still relevant.

I have one of the original paper copies 1977 - 1987.with 1989 and 1990 updates. The tips were extracted from the magazine of the Morris Minor Owners Club. (must be the Australian version as no matter what I do the photo always comes out upside-down).

Over the years I have added additional technical tips. All kept in a loose leaf file for ease of amendment/updating.

Some time ago I did approach the Derby office regarding the CD but did not get very far.
If the CD is available it will be a bonus.

There are several references/links to the MMOC Technical Tips some going back over a considerable period of time but any link comes up as

I have the 1990 printed version, and the cd version from about 2002. OK the cars don't change, but possible mods etc do, so it might be worth the club considering revising it. Are any committee members on here? Perhaps it could be suggested?

There is a surplus of information on the web and in currently produced publications regarding servicing and modifications to the Minor without having to reissue the CD as an updated version.
Any updated information will soon go out of date.
Just make the current CD available.
