If you are looking to restore to original specifications I would recommend this book:

Re: Help with query on model of car
My guess is that the horn push in the centre of the steering wheel and the indicator switch is correct for 1959, although there are no hard and fast rules as to when exactly the design changed from the bull motif design in the late 50's.
As to the holes in the dash, I don't know - people sometimes drill holes to fit additional dials/switches/lights etc. and it may be that a previous owner tried to rectify the damage at some point by filling them in.
As for the trafficators, they would have originally worked off the indicator switch and were probably just disconnected when the flashing indicators were retro-fitted. If you can obtain a period switch and find the wires for the trafficators you can rig up a bracket under the dash to take it and make them work again. Probably best to keep them on a separate circuit to the indicators rather than have them operate at the same time.

Re: Help with query on model of car
In all probability the indicator (trafficator) switch and hornpush are original to your car as that type was introduced around March 1959 - replacing the earlier type switch which had a hornpush built into the end along with the bullmotif steering wheel centre to cover the centre nut.
Chassis number change is generally agreed to be 705224, so look at your chassis number.

Re: Help with query on model of car
My car was registered 27 May 59 so it seems it has the correct indicator stalk on it so there for would I be correct insaying that when the later type lights were fitted and the trafficators disconnected that there now wired to the stalk I was hoping to have the lights replaced with period ones and add smaller indicators to on rear also reconnect trafficators I think the 59 rear lights are nicer looking than the modern ones well I'll need find someone good at wiring because I'm not touching wiring never was any good at that lol thanks

Re: Help with query on model of car
If you take off the trim where the trafficators are fitted, you will be able to see if the wires are still connected to them. If so, the wires will run along the channel just under the headlining towards the front of the car and then would have gone to the switch. So, if present, you should be able to find them somewhere behind the dashboard.
I agree that the earlier lights are more elegant than the later ones, but if you have the later lights fitted there will be additional holes to fill in the wing due to the larger size of the later ones. Worth doing though if you have the time/money/skills.

Not to hijack the thread or anything but I bought this book today. Is it well known and/or also recommended as a good restoration resource?

Re: Help with query on model of car
It is an old publication from the early days of Practical Classics magazine but still a worthwhile read and much of the information is still relevant today

Re: Help with query on model of car
It's a very old book but still a good one. I think practical classics did this car in the mid to late eighties when the car can't have been much more than 20 years old at the time. Interestingly, it's still on the road somewhere, taxed and mot'd until early 2024.
If i remember rightly, they then restored a smoke grey traveller in the mid nineties and did a book on that too
