Trouble Removing Grease Nipple
I am having trouble removing the grease nipples of the trunnions as they made be blocked. I have tried 1/4 inch (to small) and 5/16 inch (to big), help please?

Try a good pair of Mole Grips and get new grease nipples.

Might they be Metric (if later replacements)?

Well 9/32 is half way between those two fractions....

Another vote for the Mole Grips. Make sure that you grip the flats and not the rounded connection point. Once you have the nipple out, you may need to dig some solidified grease from the passage in the trunnion. If so, it might be worth a full strip down and inspection. Clean or replace as necessary.

Perhaps the ones on my Trunnions are modern (ish) replacements, but I just tried a spanner on them and it was 3/8AF with just a smidgin of play...
Use Mole Grips or perhaps Metric Spanner.
