Panel wipe

Post by Dougie212 »

Hi all

I’m just about to undertake my first attempt and sanding and spraying the boot lid of my MM.

Just wondering, pre sanding and painting what people recommend as a panel wipe. I’ve read various suggestions online ranging from Upol panel wipe to Screwfix heavy duty degreaser.

Does anyone have any suggestions what I should go for?

Thanks

Dougie

After preparation, sanding, washing, and evoporative degreaser and Immeadiately before any painting use tack cloths. Do not use any fibrous cloths before painting.

Always used tack rags. Our old Bodyshop foreman used to make us fold them to use all their surfaces, 32 iirc!

Go for an automotive paint panel wipe such as UPOL.
