I’m trying to work out the history of my car via its number plate. I know the car was first registered in April 1963 but I don’t know where it was first registered.
The reg is 948 TYA, so hopefully that will help.
The reasoning behind this is because I’d like to track down the original garage that sold it. It’s just benign curiosity and something I was wondering whilst enjoying a glass of wine

Re: Number plate history
TYA is a registration number allocated to the Somerset area being issued between March and June 1963. You would be netter with w heritage certificate from the BMIHT at Gaydon which will show build, dispatch and delivery dates as well as dealer info and technical details ie engine / chassis / key nos etc.
