Travel chair

Post by MorrisJohn »

Has anyone a recommendation for a good comfortable travel seat that folds up nice and compact, to take in your Moggy for days out, shows etc?
A bad day with my Volksie still beats a good day at work!

We use this type of collapsible chair (although not this actual one):

Why not just unbolt one of the front seats? Nice and comfy and one less thing to buy/possess! 8)

Slightly off-topic, but Sunbeam Talbot saloon cars have the front seats retained by spring-loaded push-in axle ends, a bit like a giant watch strap pin. The idea is that with a quick push of the fingers, the seats come out for use at picnics and other jolly outdoor activities.

That's more or less exactly what we do - except that the mounting brackets have been slightly modified so that you now just have to pull two pins out to remove each seat :)

Have a look at Kampa tote, similar to helinox but cheap to buy. Very compact in carry bag and fairly comfortable.
