75th Anniversary competition
Why is the design being chosen by MMOC committee. Should be voted on by the membership. Or is it not a democracy?
Re: 75th Anniversary competition
What were H.L. Mencken's comments on democracy?
Re: 75th Anniversary competition
All the submitted designs were on display at the Branch Liaison Meeting in May and voted on by those attending. Those have then gone forward to the Committee who are investigating things like the practicality of production and scaling - small enamel badge to large printed logo on bag, stitching, printing, colours, costs etc.
It all seems pretty fair and sensible to me. You have the chance to elect your Branch Officials and the National Committee, and you elect them to get on with the job. I'm not on the committee, but I'm very happy to let them get on with running the Club on my behalf. I'm happier with their decisions than I am with many of those coming out of Westminster, but both are a reasonable representations of democracy.
