Classic minor exhaust ‘fart’
I have a 948cc & the exhaust seems to be really quiet compared to my sisters 1098 traveller. I’m looking to get that classic Morris minor fart on decel, my car is running only one silencer in the middle of the car. Would changing the exhaust for a new sport system give me the sound I’m looking? I don’t want to go straight through as it would be too loud

Changing the current exhaust system for a sports type system will get rid of any 'fart' currently being produced.
I would suggest that you sit back and enjoy the 'fart' as is.
Silent 'farts' are the most enjoyable.

You could always go hi-tech, record the fart from your sister's car and then play it back on a speaker when you want to hear it on your car.
A standard exhaust, whether mild steel or stainless, usually gives the best sound for a standard car - although, of course, opinions vary as to what is the best sound

I can tell you that this system (https://www.morrisminorspares.com/engin ... c-p1238736) gives the loudest and longest trumpeting on any Minor I ever had! The downside is that the baffles in the silencer blew out within a couple of years, so that at certain revs there is a rattling sound. It still trumpets like crazy though, I often do it deliberately to entertain passing cars and pedestrians

I agree! In fact it was so loud I added a rear silencer. No farting in public .

Unless it is the silent kindNo farting in public
I admit that my 1098 saloon, although rather noisy in the exhaust department, does not do the much coveted fart. I find that rather disappointing.
