Newbie to forum traveller

Post by NETTIE »

Hello to all
What a fantastic site you guys have Ive just got myself a very nice traveller called woody (for now ) a 1970 British racing green traveller fully restored 7years ago.
Now retired i wanted to get back into what i know 50s 60s cars i will be selling my modern car and woody will be my only means of transport having been bought up on A series cars lots of minis and A35 s ect
I will be taking care of woody myself in the future.
Woody is 95% as i wood like just gone through MOT with no issues it is a little smokey on start up I'm guessing valve stem seals as the car as only done 300miles in 7 years on a new engine. I will also be refreshing the wheels Woody is not concours or even show standard but a very smart well restored traveller which will serve me well I'm sure pictures to follow see what you think thank you Alan

Very nice too (but I'd loose those headlamp peaks).
I think dark greens suit the Morris Minor. Enjoy!
Best wishes,
Mike.

More importantly, tell us about your doggie. Our last Golden Retriever used to love going in our Traveller. Whenever we were going out she would run and sit by the rear doors of the Traveller. She would be most disappointed if she ended up in the Merc E-Class Estate.

Very nice. I too bought a traveller in only April this year and is now my daily driver (previously BMW 120D). Yours is in better condition than mine though!!

They're all very nice aren't they. Whatever state, if the engine runs then just get the windows down and go for a drive, assuming you also have brakes of course! I love the exhaust note when blipping the throttle on a downchange - I've never had a car that quite matches that sound!
