Quarterlight pivot block

Post by Dougie212 »

Hi everyone. So I started the task today of replacing my front quarterlight windows on my 1958 4 door minor. Thinking everything was going waaaay to smoothly with a relatively straight forward removal of the window frame, I sheared the screws of the pivot blocks (I don’t know the technical name, but the block in the pic..). The blocks themselves are also crumbling and in need of replacement really. I’ve attached a pic of some new ones I’ve found online, and the state of one of my current ones.. but before I ordered the new ones I just wanted to ask if anyone had 2 second hand blocks with the screws available to buy please?

Hi,
I discovered very quickly that any used pivot blocks on offer were in a worse condition than the ones I needed to replace.
Go for new ones, it's worth the money.. 😁
