Unusual 2 Door Chop top body shell for sale

Post by 1967traveller »

Hello All,

I have an unusual project for some one it’s not for the purists but I have so far welded in ..
New floor pans x 4
Chassis leg
Front tie
X member
Outer and inner sills
Rear spring hangers

My first car was a 1967 traveller hence this unfinished project.
it’s a late 2 door body shell it’s shot blasted and in red oxide that’s had the roof chopped , back in 80s it’s documented on the internet in . I have the cut down glass and doors . I purchased the shell from a Morris minor Garage near Oxford to repair as it was a lot better than than the shell of the Morris I had originally bought as a first car for my son . It’s on a home made rotisserie . Unfortunately my sons lost interest and I’ve lost momentum! Oh and I need my garage back .
if I could get back the some of the cost of the panels I’d be happy so offers around £150 would be nice . I also have all the good bits from the original car 1098cc engine , gearbox , and most other parts painted chassis black etc if any ones interested in buying those .
I’m based near Bristol . Pm me if any one’s interested. It’s a shame to weigh in what could a nice hot rod or convertible. I’ll try to post some pics of the welding done so far .( all panels fully welded but there is still welding to do )
Thanks and regards
John

I believe this is the same car a few years ago when in one piece. Very eye-catching 8)
It would be great if it could be restored to its former glory!

Yes , that’s the one Manyminors , it was originally chopped in field at some rally , here’s the pics to prove it , Found on the internet.
The underside is 90% done with all new panels .
As I said it would be a shame to scrap it. I just don’t have the time or the inclination to finish the last bits on the underside .
