Sealing rear of window frames

Hello, I've fitted the stainless steel window frames to the doors on my 1970 Traveller. I'm aware that this is going to leak at the spot where the rear of the stainless frame goes into the door shell. I had some perished bits of rubber when I took the door apart which I assume were the seal for this part.
Does anyone have any pictures or references of what this part of the car is
supposed to look like

I ame a cheapskate and used a piece of inner tube to make a seal.

I used Sugru which is an mouldable, air setting rubber compound to make a fillet around the frame. I didn't do the neatest job so will probably re-do it in the future.
